JEFF PHILLIPS

Jeff is currently managing a portfolio of public and private equity investments, real estate investments and small business ventures.  In addition, Jeff provides advisory services through mentoring, board representations and philanthropic activities.

 

From 2009 to 2014, Jeff was the Managing Partner and Co-founder of Renergy Capital.  Renergy was focused on assisting solar developers with capital raising and marketing activities.  Jeff was responsible for Renergy's Strategic Planning, Marketing and Finance activities.

 

From 1983 to 2009, Jeff rose through the ranks at BMO Financial Group to become an Executive Managing Director at BMO Capital Markets responsible for the US Securitization and Structured Finance Group.  Jeff launched BMO’s US Securitization Group in 1991, managed the Group for 18 years, and grew the portfolio from zero to $11BN in committed assets. From 1983 to 1991, Jeff rose from BMO’s Management Development Program through the corporate finance ranks where he primarily focused on highly leveraged transactions. 

 

Jeff received a BBA from University of Michigan and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
